The MTC and Nuestra Primera Semana
And Off We Go! On July 7th we were set apart as Missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is something magic about being called to represent the restored church and to have this plaque on our chests. Like all missionaries we started out by learning our duty in the Missionary Training Center (MTC). The instruction was amazing. It was centered on inviting others to come to Christ. Even after serving as a Senior Missionary once before, we learned a lot and loved our time in the MTC. However there were a few days when I was minus a companion. Hermana Borup decided she would get some of her training online so she got Covid and missed 4 days.Acording to her, getting training in your pajamas wasn’t all bad. While we were in the MTC, we had a chance to speak to our Mission Leaders, EL Presidente y Hermana Manly from Washington State. They are just what you want from mission leaders.
